INDEPENDENCE, Ky. (WXIX/Gray News) - Kentucky authorities say a convicted sex offender was arrested after being found with a missing 12-year-old girl. Deandre Byrdsong was taken into custody in the Independence area on Monday. Authorities said he was found sleeping in a car with the girl at a Shell gas station.

Second SWAT situation in NKY Monday ends in suspect’s arrest
KENTON COUNTY, Ky. (WXIX) - A man wanted for a felony probation violation was apprehended Tuesday morning after a second SWAT situation within 24 hours took place in Northern Kentucky. According to Northern Kentucky SWAT Deputy Director Eric Nelson, Kenton County police were trying to serve a warrant on Donald Dale Newcomb, of Morning View, at the Pon De Lon Hotel on Dixie Highway Monday.
